Previous Minutes

Approval of the previous minutes from Baronial meeting on the 12/02/2019. Raised Gabriel. Seconded Alexandria. Passed.

Daily Payment Limit

Baronial Reeve requested that the daily payment limit be increased from $3000 to $5000 until after Great Northern War. She requested this as it will make authorising payments easier, especially for larger amounts for food or equipment. Raised Gabriel. Seconded Acacia. Passed.

Baronial Policy – Reimbursement for Crown Travel:

Discussion was had a regarding the reconfirmation of the Baronial policy of reimbursement for Crown travel. The Baronial policy will be:

“That the Barony of St Florian de la Riviere will cover 50% of the travel costs of the King and/or Queen of Lochac to travel to an event in the Barony of St Florian de la Riviere once per reign.

Travel costs reimbursement will be 50% of either:

a. The total return journey airfares for both Crown representatives, or
b. The total return journey fuel costs for road travel.

Receipts will need to be provided before reimbursement.

This policy does not apply to those Royalty residing in the Barony of St Florian de la Riviere but does apply to the rest of Queensland.

This policy does not apply when the Crown are attending äny of the 3 Kingdom events they are required to attend which are being run by the Barony of St Florian de la Riviere.

Should a specific situation come up where a one-off variation of this policy is required, it can be brought to the Baronial meeting for consideration.

Before reimbursement is paid by the Barony, the Lochac Exchequer must be consulted to ensure that there has not be a request for reimbursement already submitted for the same travel costs.”

Costs for indemnity printing

Baronial Marshal requested approval for $10 for sign in paperwork. Raised Gabriel. Seconded Eliana. Motion passed.

Fighter practice over Easter

Over the Easter Break Fighter practice will not be happening on Monday 15^th and 22^nd of April, and Arts and Sciences will not be on Tuesday 16^th and 23^rd of April.  

Tent Hire update – GNW

Henri indicated that Scouts came back to him with a costing on hiring tents and cost is prohibitive. He will post of the relevant FB groups to keep everyone updated.

Baronial Officers

The Baronial officer situation is becoming dire. We are going to need to fill a number of positions in the Barony soon, and we have no one volunteering to step up. Especially important is the position of Baronial Herald who is due to step down very soon and the role of the Baronial Constable which I am currently filling. We need people to do these officer positions now. There will be more officer changeovers coming up over the next few months as well. Please consider becoming an Officer if you have capacity and especially if you have never been an officer before. If we are still not able to fill these officer roles, then we will need to have a conversation as a group about our future.
