Officer Reporting:

While other Baronial officers are only reporting at the Baronial meeting in line with the Kingdom reporting structure, (February, May, August and November) the Reeve will report each month. Eleanor indicated that the SCA corporate fees are due and she needs to chase up A & S monies.

Northern Reaches War Collegia Event proposal

Northern Reaches War Collegia event. The proposed event location of Sunnybank Hills State School has not been confirmed yet as school is still, out so that could change the event. However, a budget was submitted so that if it all goes smoothly it can be advertised immediately. Raised Gabriel, approved Alexandria. Passed.

Equipment for Fighter Practice

Gabriel requested $100 for centre bosses and handles to finish the last two shields. Raised Gabriel, approved Acacia. Passed

Officers

Alexandria Biener has been prosed as our next Arts and Sciences minister. This is subject to a 2 week commentary closing 27^th of January 2019.

Christopher Longstaff has been proposed as the next Baronial Marshal. Waiting to hear back from the Kingdom Earl Marshal.

Looking for replacement Herald, Constable and Chronicler. Henri mentioned that all officers except one changed over during his tenure as Seneschal so there will be more officers positions becoming available this year.

Gabriel is wanting to change the emphasis of the Chronicler to a more internet based position – will discuss later.

Gabriel is looking for a deputy and or replacement Seneschal

Stewards for Events

We have stewards for all the events listed except Baronial Championship and the Games Day. These dates were chosen as our Baron and Baroness are able to attend those dates. However, there is an opportunity for other events so if you want to run a different event please contact Gabriel

Non agenda items raised:

St Florian Food fund proposal

Acacia to run the St Florian food fund at Rowany Festival. An initial budget was submitted. Previously the Barony has paid for half the communal tent and half the firewood. It was decided that the whole cost of this should come out of the event costings this year. Henri raised that last year Bain and Gustav spent a full day setting up the showers for everyone. This matter will need to be looked into whether to hire a separate tent or what is needed. Acacia wanted it noted that the Northern Reaches encampment area is open to anyone from the Northern Reaches who wishes to camp at Festival. The event submission will be reworked. Given the cut-off date for ordering equipment, there will be a special meeting called to approve the budget before February’s scheduled Baronial meeting.

Fighter Practice indemnity Paperwork

Alain raised that he has a bundle of the sign in paperwork from fighter practice and did not know where this should go. Eleanor has checked and all paperwork relating to children needs to be kept until they are 18. For the other forms as long as the other sign in sheets without children’s names are uploaded then they be destroyed. Gabriel to look into having a separate member and non-member sheets for children to sign in so they can be kept and destroyed separately to minimise how much we are storing. Currently there is a box of paperwork kept in the storage container.

GNW update

Henri asked if he was required to report each month on the progress of GNW. Gabriel indicated that it was not required but would like to know if any problems arise. Henri was requested to just make general information posts on FB to keep everyone up to date and to talk up the event. Henri indicated that bookings will be open soon for GNW.

Chirurgeon recertification

Weimin raised that his CPR recertification needed to happen as Baronial Chirurgeon. He will check prices but should; be less the $100. He will get back to us with the price. Request for approval of budget of $120 . Proposed Gabriel,  seconded Eliana, passed.
