Meet the Baronial Candidates

The Honourable Lord Kamara
Skleraina and Lord Sebastian Tockler

Greetings good populous of Saint Florian de la Riviere, we are The Honourable Lord Kamara
Skleraina (member: 85817) and Lord Sebastian Tockler (member: 84862). We are both current
members of the SCA and confirm we would maintain our membership status for the duration of our
tenure.

Kamara joined in June 2014 after a neighbour mentioned a group he might be interested in was
meeting that night. (The Canton of Stegby). Since the first meeting he has been hooked and
played in Stegby, River Haven and now St Florian. During these years he has held multiple Officer
roles, run several events and been part of the team for many more. Kamara is a Scribe (also
currently Warden for the Northern Reaches), fighter and passionate about all things Persian. He
also loves teaching and sharing his knowledge and skills as well as learning new ones and
learning about all the different Cultures and times that encapsulate the SCA.

Sebastian joined the SCA at the end of 2012 after stumbling upon the demo booth at Supanova.
He previously fought as a heavy fighter (very sinister) before health issues forced him to put down
the sword and shield. He now enjoys participating and teaching a variety of arts and sciences
including (but not limited to) woodwork, jewellery, and illumination. He has also served the Barony
by assisting with and stewarding many events, as well as holding multiple Baronial offices.
We are both passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion within the SCA and wish to promote
the Barony of Saint Florian de la Riviere as a safe space. To achieve this we plan to support the
current growth of Clan Blue Feather within the Barony as well as finding ways to increase the
accessibility of events both physically and financially.

Members maketh the Barony. Both the ongoing skill and knowledge of existing members and the
enthusiasm of new members help make St Florian what it is. We wish to support the growth of the
Barony both through encouraging long term members and supporting new members in their SCA
journey. To accomplish this we plan to look into new options for demo events, host newcomer
introduction events following demos, as well as support the continued growth of the new College.
St Florian is a Barony made up of multiple creative and passionate people and we would see this
creativity and passion continue to grow through the promotion and support of the St Florian
University programs and Baronial projects. Both of which allow space for people to share their
knowledge, learn new skills, and bring the Barony together. We also wish to increase the amount
of Youth activities to increase the accessibility of events to families. More themed events would
also be nice!

We look forward to the opportunity to serve the Barony of Saint Florian de la Riviere in its next
chapter.

Yours in service,
Kamara and Sebastian
