Baronial Changeover 2025
Greetings to the Populace of St Florian de la Riviere
This will probably be my last missive to you until the Crown make their decision known on the Baronial succession. Thankyou for your attention throughout this process and thankyou to those who have made their feelings known.
I would also like to thank:
Your webwright- The Honourable Lady Gabrielle Hamilton for her prompt attention to posting material, and
Your MC Duke Stefan and Your streaming guru Master Magnus for their efforts in running the Baronial meet the candidates evening.
For those who have not yet polled, the polling applet remains open until midnight tonight. At midnight the applet will automatically close submission of polls. If you intend to poll on this, then, before midnight tonight you must have completed your poll and pressed submit.
The poll is accessible from:
https://www.cognitoforms.com/DavidHunt1/StFlorianDeLaRiviereBaronialSuccessionPoll2025
Tomorrow morning I will commence preparing a report on your polling for the Crown and intend to submit to them before the end of this week. The Crown will take their time assessing the polling information and will make their decision known to you before closing court of Festival. Your new Baronage will be invested at the upcoming Great Northern War.
I understand the candidates, with some addidional assistance have decided that tonight is democracy sausage night at training/archery/A&S/everything else. I hope you enjoy the evening and look forward to hearing the final decision.
Yours in Service
Count Stephen

Good evening St Florian de la (currently enlarged) Riviere
I am led to believe that you have survived the depredations of Alfred, relatively unscathed.
The Meet the Baronage candidates session will be held this coming Monday (17th of March) at the Bridge Club from 7pm.
Duke Stefan will host the evening, which will also be made available as an online Zoom meeting. You will hear from each set of candidates and later have the opportunity to put questions to them. Please remember that many people will have questions to put to the candidates, covering a range of topics. Duke Stefan will do his best to ensure as many people as possible are given an opportunity to ask questions covering as broad a range of topics as possible.
A video of the session will be made available via link from the Baronial website, for those unable to attend next Monday.
Your candidates are
Lady Eydis Ragnarsdottir and Lady Cristin verch Reys;
The Honourable Lord Kamara Skleraina and Lord Sebastian Tockler;
and
Baron Sir Gustaf Rikardsson and The Honorable Lady Kathelyne Berghart.
Following the meet the candidates session polling will open the following day (Tuesday 18 March) and run through to midnight 31 March. Polling will be online, via a link which will be available through this list, the Baronial website and for those listed as members in the SCA Lochac membership database by email.
As originally planned the successful candidates will be informed and announced before the close of Festival.
If you have been affected by Alfred and believe you cannot attend and do not have the capability to attend the meeting online please contact me and I will see if we can make some arrangement to meet your needs.
