AGENDA

Officer Reports

  • Nothing new to report except for Arts and Sciences.  Nicola has had to step down for personal reasons. We thank her for her hard work as the A&S officer.  Jessica of Fern Abbey will be filling in as deputy while the process is carried out to find a new Officer.  Applications are called for anyone who is interested. This will be posted on Facebook.
  • Outstanding Officer succession and handovers.  Hospitaller, Captain of Archers and Chirurgeon all need to advertise and call for deputies.
  • The website is currently behind.  I’ve been in contact with Flur about updating.  I need to get all the information sent over. I’ve been busy with other items recently.  Lankin has offered to help so I’ll be utilising him to help get this sorted. First on the list is getting the calendar up to date.
  • Great Northern War.  A general update and discussion was held.  Old BP Park site is not available this year.  After a lot of searching, a location at Chambers Flat was found.  Proposal will be put out for review on the GNW Facebook group which can be shared to any who are interested and want a say.  An extra ordinary meeting will be help on Monday the 23/01/2017 to approve final proposal after comments are considered.
  • Supanova was discussed.  Final thoughts were that buying a booth was not good use of funds and that a better result could be achieved by people who attend anyway handing out flyers when asked about their costumes.  We need someone to run and organise flyers. I’ll put a call out on Facebook about this.

Held at Rowany Festival, rates to be advertised.

Storage Container

  • The container is full beyond what is practical.  There will be two workshops. The first on the 4th Feb will be to sort through the items to figure out what we will keep, what we will donate and what gets thrown.  The second will be on the 4th March to properly organise and catalogue what we have.  If you want a say on any of this then you must be at the clean out days.
  • Loaner armour has been discussed and there are plans afoot but with GNW planning taking up so much time this has been set back.  Will report again next month.

Next meeting will be on Sunday the 19th of Feb at the Baron and Baroness Abode.
